Often when developing products for clients there is a pre-approval process before the project gets too deep in its process. In this video, Dustin begins setting up his client’s mock-up image. This allows the client to get an idea of what the product will look like when complete. Dustin shows how to duplicate a model, prepare to render settings, and begin preparing the environment background for catalog use. Basic materials are applied to give the client a preview.
Dustin also walks through the setup of the camera and lighting on the models during this phase. Like in real photography, the CG camera can move around the model finding the best angle to meet the client's vision.
